This issue merits more discussion, not only by people looking in from the outside, but also by people within the adult industry.
Jensen offers that while both conservative/religious groups and feminists are seeking to fight the degaradation of women in the adult industry, the industry itself is moving towards the mainstream.
It would be too simple to cast this a right / left divide, with the right opposing and the left moving to embrace the porn industry. That's not the way it works. While most of the crowd who talk and write about it are to the left or right, the silent majority are solidly in the center. They don't approve of porn per se, but they're all for Paris Hilton and her raunchy videos and everything that comes in the package.
