In Part 1 : Building Traffic Without Trading , I outlined how to build traffic without trading blind traffic, by making use of a trade script and signing up with toplists. If you did as outlined in Part 1, then you should have a steady stream of growing clicked traffic from various toplists.
In this article, we'll take a look at how to build traffic for your own toplist.

To CJ or Not to CJ

Circle jerk sites are the orphans which no one wants to own up to. Most of us trade traffic, and it doesn't come because you send surfers where they want to go. But you can't deny the fact that a 100K TGP surfers will give you more sales than a few thousand SE surfers. While this is not a problem for most, if you decide not to take the CJ route, it can very quickly come to a dead end, with no way to increase your traffic. I decided not to CJ, and broke my head on the search engines for a few months before I decided that I had to do something. After a few false starts, I hit upon a plausible solution - Toplist Traffic. Which again, is easier said than done. Toplists send you a lot of clicked traffic, but how do you send them enough traffic in the first place to get you high enough in a toplist so that it can send you a sizeable amount of clicked traffic? I tried putting hard links to the toplists I signed up with on every one of my pages, but it just wasn't enough.

CJ Out - Toplist In

Here's what you do:

• Install a CJ script and see that it's working properly.
• Sign up with two or three of the best toplists you can find, preferably in your niche. It's important that the toplists have a lot of traffic to send to you, else you could end up sending them hunders of visitors and getting squat in return. It's also important that you verify the toplist doesn't do any automatic installs on your surfers' PC ( which is often the case with toplists ) or opens up chain popups. Also read the rules of each toplist you sign up with, and if it says no traffic from scripts, don't sign up.
• Put in hard links using the URL which the toplists give you on a lot of your pages. Make sure the links are highly visible on your site, in case the toplist owner(s) visit your site before approving your account.
• Use the URL's and add new trades in your CJ script. Set the script so that traffic is forced to the toplists. Question time: You don't do any trading in the first place, so where's the traffic to feed the toplists? 404 - Send your 404 traffic to the trade script. That should be enough, for an average SE traffic site, to force feed 2-3 toplists hundreds of visitors. Since the traffic is from the SE's, it's better than what TGP's are sending to the toplists, and they won't complain that you're sending them script traffic.
• What happens now is that you end up in the top 10 listings of a couple of big toplists. They send you back a few hundred visitors, clicked traffic. Just enough so that you can sign up with a couple more toplists. In a few days, you sit in the top ten ranks of 4-5 toplists. Let it run for a week. What you'll see at the end of the week is a) The traffic you're pumping to all the toplists is increasing, along with the traffic you're being sent back and b) The search engines have picked up your links on those 4-5 high PR toplist index pages.

I'm sure you get the picture by now. Keep signing up with toplists. Keep pumping them traffic. Put hard links for all the toplists on as many of your own pages as you can. A few points to be noted: Do not abuse the toplists by sending them shitty traffic ( I'm talking about hitbots, GEO redirected traffic ). Monitor your script, and your stats, to verify that the toplists are not cheating you by sending you shitty traffic. The deal works only if both parties are happy. Give each toplist a couple of days after you start sending it traffic - if after that the toplist still doesn't list you or is showing only a few hits, scrap it and find a new one.
