I read somewhere the other day that the only use of the internet is to promote pornography. In the last one week, I read articles in Forbes , CNN and The Online Journalism Review about the volume and legitimacy of adult porn. The barrage of articles and studies published by mainstream journalists, all of which put together, leave the reader(myself included) totally clueless about the adult market and it's financial health. Point is, why all the attention if we want to lie low?

Where's there's honey, there's bound to be a lot of bee's. Since there aint much honey outside of the porn and B2B markets, it's natural that there's going to be a lot of gatecrashers and hustlers trying to cash in on the moolah. Brings a lot of attention, especially the wrong kind - like acacia and ashcroft. Nothing much we can do about that.

What we can do is, stop providing them with a gun to shoot us with. What am I talking about? What I'm saying is, the main grouse that people got against the porn industry is divided into three branches of the same issue:-

1. Unauthorised access to porn for children -

2. Spam -

What needs to be done is, chronic spammers should be isolated and cut off from the rest of the companies -

3. Credit card fraud -

To sum it all up, what we need is concerted and proactive measures involving technology and punishment, rather than whining about being top of the hit list. Also, develop transparency about all aspects of your operation, pool all the data together, and then we got a bit of muscle to fight for our rights and focus on the job.
